H63

In the 1960s, parts of Borneo were encultured with elements of the ‘Swinging Sixties’.  That was the inspiration for the retro vibe of Hotel63, embraced between the shorelines Kota Kinabalu and its hilly rainforest terrain. Hotel63 sits at the corner of a commercial block with high vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  The opportunity to feature the locale’s glitz, glamour and natural beauty was appealing indeed.

Emulating the layers of a rainforest canopy—comprising the forest floor, understorey, and emergent layer—the vertical layout of Hotel63 integrates facilities that support lush indoor plants. This not only enhances air quality but also infuses the interiors with aesthetic beauty and verdant greenery.

For smaller, more intimate gatherings, we've crafted eight artisan rooms. Each features its own mini foyer and courtyard, offering versatile spaces suitable for meetings, boutique retail, or small private events. These artisan rooms, complemented by a larger event hall, form the first floor's key attractions.s

A standout feature of Hotel63 is its rooftop area. A dramatic barrel vault, clad in natural greenery, arches over the function space, creating a captivating venue for events while allowing guests to bask in the elevated air of Kota Kinabalu.
